Tuna Noodle Casserole

This is a dish that parents in the Midwest regularly make for their families. The tuna, noodles, peas and mushrooms make for a filling and tasty weeknight dinner.

Makes 4 Servings

Cooking + Prep Time: 50 minutes

Ingredients:

1 tbsp. of oil, olive

1 cup of mushrooms, chopped

1 tsp. of garlic, crushed

2 tbsp. of flour, whole-wheat, + extra if needed

1 cup of broth, mushroom

3/4 cup of milk, lactose-free + extra if needed

Kosher salt ground pepper, as desired

6 to 8 oz. of cooked egg noodles

1 x 5-oz. can of water-packed tuna

1/2 cup of peas, organic if available

1/2 cup of extra sharp cheddar cheese shreds

1 tsp. of Worcestershire sauce, low sodium

1 tbsp. of breadcrumbs
